D.E.S.K.

D.E.S.K. is an annual spring event in which Wake Forest student organizations design desks for underprivileged elementary schools students.

D.E.S.K. stands for Discovering Education through Student Knowledge and works with students at Old Town Elementary School to provide them with a personalized study space they may not have had otherwise. In advance of the event, children and organizations work together to develop a plan for what the final desk will have painted on it. The process culminates in an afternoon event with hundreds of student volunteers helping to design the kids’ desk of their dreams.
